HRK 1.6 billion in incentives for textile industry

About thirty textile companies joined in the Textile Cluster founded their main coordination body for the projects inside the development strategy for the restructuring of the Croatian textile and shoes industry. The Croatian Textile Industry Development Agency (HARTI) has the task of organizing, directing and coordinating the funding of development programs and projects viable for government’s subsidies.

Last week the HARTI representatives met with Vice Premier Damir Polancec and agreed the cooperation with the Government through the Ministry of Economy, but they still need to define methods and criteria for choosing projects. The idea is to encourage development programs and restructuring through horizontal and regional incentives. The projects that are already ready require approximately HRK 1.6 billion in government’s incentives in the next five years.
