Zagreb starts selling city-owned properties
Zagreb is looking to fill the gap in its budget deficit by selling 30 of its 2,000 apartments, the portal Business writes.
With prices ranging from 1,000 and 2,000 Euros per square metre, city officials hope to boost the city’s budget by 20 million kunas (2.75 million Euros).
In addition to 30 apartments, the city is planning to sell three business centres and eight garages.
Analysts speculate that such sales of state and local government-owned property could put additional downward pressures on real estate prices that registered yet another drop this past August.
