Online shopping in Bulgaria on the rise, but still considered risky
The number of customers shopping online in Bulgaria is growing, but four out of five consumers are still afraid of personal data misuse, PR agency All Channels Communication and marketing research company Noema said during the presentation of their joint report on Internet consumer behavior e-Consumers.
"About 80% of consumers fear that someone might take advantage of their personal data," according to Kamelia Pavlova, a digital specialist at All Channels.
The poll, conducted among 3,000 people, also catches the opinion of ten companies, including Nestle and Postbank, Divil Kulev, Research and Analyses manager at Noema, said.
Bulgaria's online buyers are mainly interested in books, tourist services, clothes, shoes, food and flowers, Kulev added.
According to the survey's results, 26% of Bulgarian consumers prefer shopping in local websites, while 19% of the respondents say they shop in foreign websites.
