Serbian and China on fostering healthcare relations

Health Minister Stankovic met with China's Vice Minister of Health Wang Guo-Qiang on Monday.The
two ministers pointed out that Serbia and China will continue to improve mutual cooperation in the field of
healthcare.Stankovic told the press that the talks encompassed three topics - bilateral cooperation, problems in both
countries' healthcare systems and implementation of a Memorandum of cooperation signed last year.Stankovic thanked China for
donations comprising 10 X-ray machines Serbia received in the past two months, and said that the talks also included the
issue of treating children with rare diseases in China and exchange of experts in traditional medicine.The minister announced
that a committee will be formed to deal with healthcare cooperation between Serbia and China, in which both countries will
have two representatives to coordinate the cooperation.Wang Guo-Qiang said that he and Stankovic discussed implementation of
the agreement between Serbia and China and cooperation in the field of traditional medicine.We will together form a mechanism
for healthcare cooperation that will help improve the health of both Serbia and China's citizens, he pointed out.The
delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Health will stay in Serbia for three days.
