New 500L version in October
Fiat Group President Sergio Marchionne said Tuesday after talks with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic in Kragujevac that Fiat will introduce another version of the 500L on October 9, and the Detroit American version in February next year.
Marchionne said that the production of the Fiat 500 L in Serbia will go ahead as planned despite the present crisis in the world market. Despite the fact that the production of cars in Europe and the world fell by 20 percent, Fiat will produce in Kragujevac as planned, he said.
By the end of 2013, he said, all versions of this model which is only produced in the factory in Kragujevac will be presented. According to Marchionne, 500L is one of the best cars on the world market, if not the best.
Marchionne said that the market will recover in 2014, adding that he expects full support of the Serbian government.
