Evolio in partnership with educational software local producers launched the first Romanian tablet specially made for children, Evolio Tabby, reads a release the company mentioned above sent to Agerpres.

The tablet is equipped with a 7-inch capacitive screen, an ARM 1 GHz processor, a Mali-400 multi-core graphics processor, Wi-Fi connectivity and USB ports, 4 GB memory and a control blocking switch. It has pre-installed games, tales and other interactive applications for children, all of them in Romanian. Through the agency of Google Play they can access tens of thousands of free games.

'It is a tablet that offers children the possibility to discover interactive tales, animated cartoons, educative applications or games that stimulate intelligence. Tabby, a tablet that is 100 percent for children!' said Evolio managing director Liviu Nistoran.

This first Romanian tablet is meant for children aged between 3 and 12. It is developed by Evolio together with two Romanian companies producing educational software, PitiClic and Kidsopia.

'The applications developed by Kidsopia and pre-installed by Evolio Tabby are planned and made in keeping with the UNICEF study on fundamental landmarks for early teaching the child from birth till the age of 7,' said Kidsopia manager Alex Itcus.

The novelty of the Evolio device is the parents' control by which one can block children's access to applications or sites for grownups.
