PM Ponta at SAB: Romania becomes a big automotive maker in Europe and the world
After visiting the Bucharest Car Show (SAB) on Thursday, Prime Minister Victor Ponta said Romania is turning into a big automotive maker in Europe and the world.
He congratulated the organisers of the 11th edition of SAB, wishing them an increase in the number of automobiles on display in the years ahead. He also said he would like for 'cars to be increasingly more environment-friendly, with as small emissions as possible,' and for Romanians to start buying automobiles that are as little polluting as possible.
'Last year and this year alike I have congratulated those who under difficult conditions nevertheless managed to hold this show, and I want to be able to do this for many years on; let me wish them as many automobiles on display as possible each year. I am using the opportunity of the place to say that Romania is turning into a big automotive maker in Europe and the world, and I mean here the automobiles manufactured at the existing two factories and the fact that there are tens of Romanians working with spare parts makers. Romania is already in the club of European countries that managed to endure at this difficult time,' said Ponta.
