Chinese investments in FBIH

The Government of FBIH analysed the letter of intent on business cooperation of China's TENGDA Group and the Federation. The cooperation would be based on the document "Development Strategy of Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear Industry in FBIH for 2013-2023 period". In order to meet demands of the BIH market for twill fabric, TENGDA Group proposed establishment of trade links with BIH through import of this product from China in the first phase of possible cooperation. The group is also ready to invest in construction of a factory for manufacturing of occupational clothing, with preliminary investment of around a million euros and hiring of 200-300 workers. The Government supported activities of the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce of FBIH on setting up business cooperation with this Chinese group, charging them to continue with the activities. Namely, in June this year, representatives of Ministry Energy, Mining and Industry and Chamber of Commerce visited companies in Yingkou, Chinese province of Liaoning, dealing with such production.
