An exhibition, dedicated to the Balkans, under the auspices of UNESCO, will be presented in Romania.
The international exhibition Imagining the Balkans, named after the book by Maria Todorova will open at the National Museum of History in Romania.
The event is taking place under the auspices of UNESCO with the participation of museums from Albania, the Bosnian Republic of Srpska, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus,FYRMacedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia and in cooperation with the German Museum of History in Berlin.
The aim of the project is to promote inter-cultural dialogue and discussions on shared memories and identity.
The exhibition presents the complex historical process that led to the formation of nations in Southeastern Europe in the 18-20th century and their national states.
The exposition has already been shown in Ljubljana andBelgrade and will be open in Romania from November 28 to April 27, 2014.
