Export of over 100,000 Fiat 500Ls is FAS's great success
Serbia's Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said no Friday the export of more than 100,000 Fiat 500L cars from Serbia in 2013 was a great success of Fiat Automobili Srbija (FAS) from Kragujevac.
"It is a large revenue for the company and an increase in over 25 percent in Serbia's export this year," he stressed at the opening of a factory owned by Italy's Moretto near Batocina, central Serbia, adding that FAS was currently Serbia's biggest exporter.
He stated he had met with Fiat officials in Belgrade on Thursday to discuss the completion of the motorway Kragujevac-Batocina and the reconstruction of the reilway, because many of the cars are transported to the Montenegrin port of Bar by train.
The cantral and local goverments have taken upon themselves to provide FAS with transport infrastructure, and that work should slowly be coming to completion, he noted.
