EU aid to Textile and Leather Design School in Novi Pazar
Dutch Ambassador Laurent Stokvis and British Ambassador Denis Keefe visited the Textile and Leather Design School in Novi Pazar in which two classrooms were furnished with equipment delivered within the EU PROGRESS programme.
Two classrooms in the high school were refurbished and fitted with sewing machines, tailoring appliances, irons and other devices, Regional Television Novi Pazar reported.
Assistant to the mayor of Novi Pazar Faruk Suljevic underscored that the assistance from the EU programme is very important for employment of young people from Novi Pazar, Raska region in south-west Serbia.
The laboratory and workshop refurbished within EU PROGRESS project show that crafts can be learned here and that the young can get jobs in Novi Pazar factories after they finish their education, Suljevic said.
