China privileges Africa as field for its new model of international economic relations

Responding to an article of the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeriaproduced by FT that China’s approach to Africa embodied the “essence of colonialism” China’s director of the Institute of International Relations proves how his country created exactly the opposite relations. There are at least four areas where China’s actions have been of benefit to both sides: skills, trade, industrialization and energy. After all, continues Qu Xing “African consumers are free to choose what to buy. China has never acted like western colonialists by forcing African people to buy Chinese products.”
