Globalisation on steady cruising speed

As the writer indicates financial crisis has not reversed the trend towards integration of the global economy. FDI and Trade have risen substantially the last twenty years and contributed to the great convergence between the emerging countries and the wealthy rest. Protectionism feared in time of crisis has not reached momentum and the mechanisms and the benefits of the Global economy seem to play as strong incentives despite the risks of imbalances that provoke unemployment , low growth and inequality in a background of violent conflicts and environmental catastrophes.
