The state business registration center has published a report on the number of new businesses registered at this institution during 2015. According to the official data, about 39 thousand new businesses registered at the National Center of Registration during 2015 while only 5 thousand businesses officially cancelled their commercial activities.
The number of new registered businesses has increased due to the government’s reform and controls against the informality in the markets, says the report. In September, the government undertook an intensive reform in order to fight the informality in the country, especially among small and medium sized enterprises.
In addition, the government also approved a new law according to which businesses with an annual turnover to ALL 5 million where exempted from all taxes.
While, since January 1st of this year, 1600 new businesses have been registered at the National Registration Center, say official figures published by the NRC.
