Britain's Apace Media a 66% stake in Diema Vision

Britain's Apace Media plc, an intellectual property and branded content company, said it has added a further 16% to the 50% stake it already owns in private Bulgarian cable and satellite broadcaster Diema Vision.

In late 2005, when Apace bought half of Diema Vision, the British company announced it would buy another 16% over the next two years, depending on the performance of the business.

The acquisition of Diema brings to 6 the television channels which Apace already owns in Bulgaria.

In early October 2005, the British company acquired a 66% stake in Bulgarian media company Television MM OOD for 660,000 euro. Television MM owns the MM Records recording company and music TV channels MM and M2.

Diema Vision owns cable TV channels Diema Plus, Diema 2 and Diema Extra and has been licensed to broadcast a fourth one, Alexandra TV. Diema's channels cover sport, films, news and pay-TV/pay-per-view. In addition to television rights, Diema holds the exclusive broadcasting rights of the English Premiership League, and the French and Spanish soccer championships.
