Four Investment Banks Bid To Consult On Radiocom Privatization

Four internationally reputed investments banks of the seven that were selected for financial consultancy during the privatization of SC Radiocomunicatii SA - Radiocom submitted bids as per the tender book before the deadline of April 3rd, 2006, the Ministry of IT&C announced.

Bids were received from the consortium CA~IB Corporate Finance Beratungs Ges.m.b.H + Musat & Asociatii, the consortium BNP Paribas + CET, Rothschild & CIE and Raiffeisen Investment AG. "All these banks are part of the international financial elite, which indicates that the competition is going to be very tight," said IT&C Minister Zsolt Nagy.

Radiocom is one of the leading providers of radio communications services in Romania, including data & voice transmission for public telephony, mobile telephony, cable television etc. The company is entirely owned by the State. The company concluded last year with 60 million EUR in turnover and a gross profit of 6.1 million EUR.
