Italian shoemakers prepare a protectionist policy

The Italian shoemakers want to protect their products sold on the Romanian market, and therefore they want to inscribe on the shoes the words “Made in Italy.” According to Rompres, the Association of the Italian Footwear Producers (ANCI) will open in the coming period the first shop with products under the Italian brand, announced yesterday ANCI officials. The Romanian owners who want to sell Italian footwear under this umbrella of originality of their products need to have a selling space of at least 250 sq m in a central area, and trade only Italian products. Moreover, ANCI is willing to help the firm that has the possibility to come with the space with an amount of up to EUR 0.1 M, publicity being assured entirely by the Association.
