Wood processed by Austrians in Radauti to reach Japanese market

Schweighofer Holzindustrie company will open a wood processing factory in Radauti thus increasing the initial investment of 80 million euros to 105 million euros, company's owner Gerald Schweighofer said.According to the Austrian owner, a new module for the production of laminate elements for constructions made for the Japanese market and an electrical-thermal system which will use as raw material the bark of the trees processed in the factory will also be set up.The factory's annual production is estimated at 1 million cubic meters.The unit will create over 500 jobs and the production will start in January 2008.Egger Austrian company will build, in a first stage, a factory producing stratified wood panels , on an investment of over 200 million euros ; the factory will create 400 jobs and the production will start in 2008
