Banja Luka insurer Grawe osiguranje is gradually becoming one of the largest investors on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange. The company which is 100-per-cent owned by Austrian Grazer Wechselsitige Versicherung continues to invest particularly in government and municipal bonds, the crisis notwithstanding.
Grawe has so far invested around BAM 7 million in bonds, and in the past two days alone they bought bonds on the BLSE worth BAM 877,465. Of that, BAM 557,250 was invested in the Laktasi bonds and BAM 320,215 in government bonds. Recently, the insurer obtained a third of bonds issued by the Gradiska municipality for BAM 2.7 million.
