International Institute for Software opens a centre in Croatia
The non-profit International Institute for Software Economics, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IISEIE) opened a centre in Varazdin in northwestern Croatia on Friday.

The Institute already has centres in the USA and the UK.

The centre’s aim is to help the local community use its potential for development of the software industry in better fashion.

At the ceremonial opening in Varazdin, IISEIE head Malcolm Fraser said the centre would help increase employees’ business skills and help them learn about the best information and business practices.

The first joint project of the centre and its local partners will be an innovation-academy programme that should start in October and will be aimed at all companies and businessmen who are working as independent software producers.

The innovation academy is the joint idea of the Institute and Microsoft’s centre in Varazdin.
