Serbia is ready to mediate in the name dispute between Macedonia and Greece and also wants to assist in the settlement of the row between the Serbian and Macedonian Orthodox Churches, said Serbian President Boris Tadic.
"We are ready to mediate in the solution of the dispute between Greece and Macedonia. We want to be part of the solution, and not part of the problem as was the case in the past", said President Tadic in his address at Tuesday's Ambassadors Conference in Belgrade, referring to Serbia's foreign policy priorities.
Pertaining to relations with Macedonia, Tadic stressed that Belgrade wanted to settle not only state-related issues, but the church one too.
He added that Serbia supported the territorial integrity of regional countries and all UN members, since "it builds the position for defense of Kosovo's sovereignty and territorial integrity in line with this policy".
