Cooperation in wood processing industry

The competitiveness of small and medium wood processing industries in Serbia can be improved through combining Italian technology and design and Serbian raw materials and manpower, Italian and Serbian businessmen said at their meeting today at the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, reports Tanjug news agency. Secretary of Serbian Chamber of Commerce association of wood processing industry and forestry Raso Milic said that Serbian wood processing and furniture industry should draft a development strategy, improve quality and design and modernize technology. Growth of the GDP, housing construction and more favorable loans would also help the development of Serbian wood processing industry, he said. Vice-President of the Confindustria Udine business association Marco Bruseschi said the association is encouraging Italian companies to develop joint projects with partners in Serbia.
